In the face of globalization and an increasing number of international employees in Germany, sound knowledge of cultural differences relevant to the workplace is becoming ever more important. On February 17th, 2017, TWIST brought together in Munich four of the most renowned academics researching intercultural issues in the workplace. Prof. Geert Hofstede, Prof. Gert Jan Hofstede, Prof. Michael Minkov, and Prof. Felix Brodbeck presented the latest in cultural research at LMU Munich. Following this, practitioners and researchers gathered ideas together on the topic: Which of these research findings are particularly relevant for our day-to-day work, especially for our work as HR managers? Due to the high demand, the event was moved to a larger lecture hall at short notice — a complete success in the truest sense of the word. The day ended on a cheerful and musical note at the TWIST office with songs from all over the world.
